Aubrey Hicks (she/her) is the Client Relations and Development Manager at CRESST, where she leverages her extensive background in information science, academic administration, and publishing to drive public outreach.

Holding a Master of Library and Information Science (MS), Aubrey has dedicated her career to bridging the gap between complex information and the public good. Most recently, she served as the Managing Director of The Difference Engine at Arizona State University, a center focused on the future of equality. In this role, she led strategic initiatives and operations for the interdisciplinary hub.

Her decade-long tenure as Executive Director of the USC Bedrosian Center for Governance was marked by a commitment to making public policy research accessible and actionable for community members. There, she directed all public outreach and programming for the applied research center. Aubrey’s leadership also extended to the editorial world as the Managing Editor of the Journal of Public Policy, and to the field of education as a Program Coordinator for The POGIL Project, a national organization dedicated to professional development for educators.

Earlier in her career, Aubrey served as a paraprofessional reference librarian at Moravian University, providing research support and information literacy instruction. She began her career in academic publishing, working with Academic Press at Elsevier Science and Cornell University Press. A passionate advocate for interdisciplinary study, Aubrey views it as an essential pathway to equity and remains a voracious reader across diverse fields.
